Excellent combination of lightness, strength and toughness

The alloys are created by forming very fine coherent Al3(Sc, Zr) particles in an aluminum matrix, which can effectively prevent the growth of grains during casting, extrusion, hot forging, welding, and heat treatment processes, thereby maintaining the fibrous or fine equiaxial grain structure and offering high toughness, high strength, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, and a fine anodizing finish. Hodaka currently supplies three types of aluminum alloys containing scandium, including weldable M6 and M7 series, and difficult to weld, ultra-high strength, high-toughness M9 series. That meets the needs of customers for all types of applications and processes.

A moderately high strength, easy to weld aluminum alloy, meeting the need for toughness, strength, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance They can be used in 3C product cases, watch cases, and bicycle rims, etc.
